Principal - Stephanie Stewart
Stephanie Stewart has served as principal of Mountain View High School since her appointment in August 2022. Prior to her appointment at Mountain View, she was the principal at Patrick Elementary School. Mrs. Stewart is a native Atlantan and Gwinnett County Public Schools graduate. Mrs. Stewart began her career as an elementary teacher at Simonton Elementary from 1995-2002. Mrs. Stewart served as an Administrative Intern at Minor Elementary from 2002-2003, an Assistant Principal at Dyer Elementary from 2003-2009, and as Assistant Principal at Puckett’s Mill Elementary from 2009-2016. Mrs. Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia. She also holds a certificate in Educational Leadership (K- 12) and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership (K- 12), both also from the University of Georgia. In addition to cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, she loves to spend time with her husband and their two children, a son, and a daughter.
Assistant Principal - Eddie Barnes
Eddie Barnes has served as an Assistant Principal at Mountain View High School since his appointment in July 2021. Prior to his appointment at Mountain View, he served as the Local School Technology Coordinator at Northbrook Middle School from 2014 – 2021 and as an 8th Grade Physical Science teacher at Richard Hull Middle School from 2007 – 2014. Mr. Barnes grew up in Port Gibson, MS and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Alcorn State University (2003) in his home state. After moving to Georgia in 2004, he earned his Master’s degree in Teaching from Mercer University Atlanta (2010) and Specialist’s degree in Media Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia (2012). Mr. Barnes also completed his Tier 1 Educational Leadership certificate at the University of West Georgia. Mr. Barnes is married to Reynell, his wife of 20 years, and has two children: a daughter, Erien, 14, and a son, Rylan, 11.

Assistant Principal - Glenn George
Glenn George has served as Community School Coordinator of Mountain View High School over the last 13 years. This will begin his 47th year in education. He has been with Gwinnett County Public Schools since 1985. Mr. George began his career in Gwinnett County as a teacher at Shiloh High School from 1985-2000. Mr. George then served as an assistant principal from 2000-2010 at Shiloh Elementary and Dacula Elementary prior to retiring in 2010. Mr. George earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Valdosta State College and master’s degree from Georgia College in Health and Physical Education. He also holds a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

Assistant Principal - Dr. Charles Hawk
Charles Hawk has served as an assistant principal at Mountain View High School since his appointment in July 2022. Prior to his appointment at Mountain View High School, he was an assistant principal at GIVE Center West High School, and prior to that an assistant principal at Corley Elementary School. This is Dr. Hawk’s ninth year as a school administrator for the Gwinnett County School District. Dr. Hawk is a native of Atlanta Georgia and comes from a family of educators. Dr. Hawk joined the Gwinnett County Public School System as a Special Education Teacher at GIVE Center West in 2010. Dr. Hawk earned his bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College. He earned his master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Hawk also holds a doctoral degree from Georgetown University. Dr. Hawk has one daughter.

Assistant Principal - Valerie Lewis
Active in her community, Valerie is a member of the Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton Counties, Delta Kappa Gamma (educational society) and a sitting board member of The Fortitude Foundation, Inc. She immerses herself in the community where she lives, works, and plays so this allows her to build strong partnerships that offer value for multiple stakeholders. She is also part of an international network of educators that prides themselves on continuous learning, improving self and disrupting norms in education. She is a wife of 18yrs and a mother of 3. She holds a Bachelor in Science in Elementary Education from Oakwood University (AL), a Master’s in Special Education from Howard University (Washington, D.C.) and a Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership (VA).

Assistant Principal - Beau Pezoldt
Beau Pezoldt’s journey in education began in 2008 at Puckett's Mill Elementary School, where he laid the foundation for his career before transitioning to the high school level in 2012. His dedication led him to serve as an educator at Duluth High School from 2012 to 2016, followed by a role as Career Academy Coach at Shiloh High School from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, Mr. Pezoldt assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Shiloh High School until 2024.
Mr. Pezoldt earned a bachelor’s degree in art education from Kutztown University and subsequently completed a master's degree at Savannah College of Art and Design. He also obtained his Leadership certification from the University of West Georgia.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he finds joy in various activities including art, fishing, playing and coaching volleyball, and working in his yard.

Assistant Principal - Matt Raettig
Matt Raettig is Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Mountain View High School. Coach Raettig joined the Mountain View staff in 2011 and prior to his appointment as an Assistant Principal in 2017, he served as a teacher and as the Local School Technology Coordinator. The 2024-2025 school year will be Coach Raettig’s second year as Athletic Director and ninth year as Assistant Principal. Coach Raettig was born and raised in Gwinnett County and is a 2003 graduate of Parkview High School. Coach Raettig earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Columbus State University where he was also a member of the baseball team. Coach Raettig earned his Master of Education degree from Valdosta State University and his Specialist in Educational Leadership degree from the University of Georgia. Coach Raettig is married to Jordan, his wife of seventeen years, and has two children: Levi, 14, and Logan, 11.

Assistant Principal - Danielle Turner
Danielle Turner has served as an assistant principal at Mountain View High School since July 2022. Prior to her appointment at Mountain View High School, she was an instructional coach in the Division of Teaching and Learning and a teacher at Meadowcreek High School and Prescott Middle School (Louisiana). Mrs. Turner is a native of Baton Rouge, LA. There she attended and graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in International Trade and Finance/Economics. Then after moving to Georgia in 2005, she attained a master’s degree from Walden University. Mrs. Turner is married with two sons.

Assistant Principal - Dr. Deborah White
Deborah White has returned to Mountain View High School in 2024 as the Curriculum and Instruction Assistant Principal. Prior to this new appointment, she served in the same leadership role at Discovery High School from 2015-2024. After moving from Virginia to Georgia with her husband and two children, Dr. White joined Gwinnett County Public Schools in 1999 as a science teacher, teaching at several high schools in the following clusters: South Gwinnett, Grayson, Mill Creek, before opening Mountain View High School in 2009 as the Science Department Chair. As a lifelong learner, Dr. White earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in Chemistry from Roanoke College (VA), a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction-Secondary Science from Virginia Tech (VA), a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction-Math and Science from Brenau University, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. Dr. White loves spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters; and, as a special note of school pride, her daughter and son are Mountain View High School graduates (2014 and 2016). Assistant Principal - Steve White

Steve White has served 29 years in Gwinnett County Schools. After retiring in January 2024, he returned to Mountain View as a part time Community School Director. Prior to returning to Mountain View, he served as an Assessment Coordinator for the GCPS school district. Mr. White is a native of Gwinnett and a Gwinnett County Public Schools graduate. Mr. White began his career as a middle school teacher at Lilburn Middle from 1997-1999, then Dacula Middle from 1999-2001. He then taught and coached girls' basketball at Dacula High School until 2008 before becoming part of the inaugural staff at Mountain View High School from 2008- 2013. Mr. White then served as an Assistant Principal at Norcross High until returning to Mountain View as an Assistant Principal in 2018, where he remained until 2021 when he served at the district level for the next three years. Mr. White earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Georgia. He also holds a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. In addition to being an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, he loves to travel with his family and play golf.
