Credit Recovery Information
Spring 2025 Credit Recovery Information
Credit Recovery is for students to make up credits in courses they have previously failed with a grade of 50-69. Please see your counselor to verify your courses that are credit-recovery eligible.
After-school Credit Recovery sessions will be held on the following dates in the Media Center:

January 14-16, 2:30 - 6PM

February 4-6, 2:30 - 6PM
-
March 4-6, 2:30-6PM
-
April 1-3, 2:30-6PM
If your student needs to make up a semester one final, they should make arrangements with the teacher to complete the final before Friday, January 17, 2025.
There are a few steps you need to take in order for your child to participate in these sessions:

The following two things if they have not been done already.

There is a $50 fee per course. Please go into MyPaymentsPlus.com. Search for Credit Recovery Enrollment. Then complete the transaction.

Go to Georgia Virtual School www.gavirtualschool.org or https://gavs.geniussis.com to set up a student account. Please have the student use a personal email address instead of the school email address when setting up the account.

They will receive teacher support in the course in which they are working. Please ensure your child can be picked up by 6PM. We also encourage students to bring a snack.

Here’s the list of courses that a student can recover through Georgia Virtual School:
Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Environmental Science, Anatomy, and Physical Science
Language Arts: 9th -12th Language Arts
Social Studies: American Government, Econ, US History, World History, World Geography
Math: Algebra, Geometry, Adv Algebra, Adv Financial Algebra
